A family company that keeps its houses
VDZ-invest owns, restores and rents out 23 apartments and studios in three buildings in the centre of Antwerp.
The company grew out of a simple conviction: good buildings in a good city are worth holding on to. Instead of developing and selling, we buy historic town-houses, restore them properly and rent them out ourselves.
Our own office sits at Louizastraat 40, in the middle of the ensemble we own. That proximity is deliberate — it means a leaking tap, a heating question or a request for a viewing is dealt with the same day, in person, by the people who own the building.
What our tenants get in return is stability: well-maintained homes with the character of nineteenth-century Antwerp, the comfort of renewed installations and a landlord who is easy to reach.
How we work
We restore, we do not flip
Every building we own has been renovated from the inside out and kept, not resold. Quality of construction decides how a house lives for the next fifty years.
No agency in between
Viewings, contracts and repairs are handled by the family. Tenants have one phone number and one point of contact, and it never changes.
Character stays
Cornices, ceiling heights, staircases and window proportions are preserved wherever possible, and combined with modern insulation, glazing and installations.
The centre of Antwerp
We invest only in the historic centre, in streets and squares we know well and believe in for the long term.
