How do I know which apartments are available?

Availability changes throughout the year and we do not publish live rents online. Call the office on +32 3 288 66 88 or send an enquiry through the contact form and we will tell you exactly what is free, or when the next unit comes up.

Do you work with a rental agency?

No. VDZ-invest owns the buildings and rents them directly. Viewings, contracts, maintenance and questions all go through the same small family team, so there is no agency commission and no intermediary.

What is the minimum rental period?

Standard Belgian residential leases apply. Studios at Louizastraat 31 can also be arranged for shorter, furnished stays. Discuss your situation with the office and we will look at what is possible.

Is a deposit required?

Yes, a rental deposit in line with Belgian legislation is placed on a blocked account in the tenant's name and returned in full after the exit inspection when the apartment is left in good order.

Are the apartments furnished?

The apartments are rented unfurnished with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. The studios at Louizastraat 31 can be rented furnished or unfurnished.

Small pets are discussed case by case. Let us know at the viewing so we can agree it in writing in the lease.

The buildings are in the centre of Antwerp, where street parking is regulated. Public car parks are within walking distance of all three addresses and the tram network and Central Station are minutes away.

How old are the buildings and how are they maintained?

They are historic Antwerp town houses, restored by the family and kept up continuously. Falconplein 16 was fully renovated in 2006; installations, roofs and common areas are renewed on a rolling programme rather than left to age.

Louizastraat 38-42 and Louizastraat 31 sit in the Justitiepaleis and museum quarter, a few steps from the old Court of Justice. Falconplein 16 stands on a renewed square between the historic centre and the Eilandje.
